We stopped off on a sunny morning at Ziggy’s for a very early lunch. Knocking out burgers and their own signature sauce it’s a local that hums.

Ziggy’s Fries – $5.5/$8

Well we had to didn’t we? The chips were great, drenched in a punchy tangy sauce, with sweet and creamy notes it was rich but balanced.

Beef Chilli Burger – 150G Beef Burger, cheese, tomato, grilled onion, lettuce chipotle chilli sauce, aioli and fried jalapenos + American Bacon- $11.9 + $3

This was a great burger. The acidity from the chillis balanced against the rich beef and cheese. The Sauce topped off the lot, and bacon makes everything better. Instant hangover cure, but with finesse.

ZFC Chicken Burger – South Fried Chicken, Pickles, Cheese, Tomato, Lettuce, Aioli and Ziggy’s Sauce – $15.9

The bitey salad and zing from the pickles was a great counterpoint to the rich, spicy chicken, the sauce swirling round the lot.

Ziggy’s have generously large, decadant burgers with a unique flavour. It is well worth checking them out.

The Food Society dined as a guest of Ziggy’s Eatery.
