Akachochin

Written by THE FOOD SOCIETY on . Posted in $$$ A little bit fancy, Asian, Casual dining, CBD, Japanese, Let's get tipsy, Moderately Priced, South Wharf, Sushi, VICTORIA

Named after the red paper lanterns that hang outside its gorgeously sleek interior, Akachochin is not your average Japanese izakaya. The modern, tokyo-style bar is stylishly decked out with black, wooden lacquered floors and white marble bench-tops, making for a beautiful and unique setting within South Wharf. It seems that, despite often being labelled somewhat of a ‘ghost town’, an array of relatively new, trendy restaurants are finally making in-roads into the South Wharf/Docklands area.
